What is this blog about?: This blog is about everything - good, bad, funny, sad, amusing, disturbing - that happens in the Capital District. That means news, politics, and weather, but mostly it means culture.
Yes, I said it. Capital Region Culture.
I didn't know it existed, either, until i left for four years. But trust me, it does. And it's why people stay in Albany while all the while complaining about it. That's the big secret:
This place is great.
Well, maybe not great compared to the daydreams you have of all the other places you'd love to live, but definitely great compared to all the other actual places to live.
And it's hard to define what i mean: it's the people, the towns, the events, the inside jokes, the scummy politics, and the the rest of it, wrapped up together.
But whatever it is, that's what this blog is about.
