The Great Escape shows some environmental sensitivity:
When the amusement park opened last weekend, their pirate ship ride remained closed because the birds made their nest in a platform at the top of the ride.
“The pirate ship was not in operation because of the birds and will remain that way for the next few weeks when we anticipate the birds flying away,” said Steve Krawczyk of the Great Escape.
That's actually quite commendable on the part of the Great Escape. Too bad Jerry Solomon isn't in Congress anymore, or he'd give a great speech about this on the House floor.

I laughed out loud at the thought of Jerry Solomon speaking into the Congressional Record about the Great Escape's environmental awareness. Who is the current representative from that district?

Sweeney is the current representative. While i'm sure he's a big fan of the Great Escape, he's not prone to extravagant floor speeches the way Solomon was.
